Church World Service (CWS) has a long history of responsible relief work focused on both meeting needs and fostering self-reliance of the most vulnerable. CWS strives to balance the work of charity and justice in addressing issues of poverty and need locally and around the world. CWS is made up of some 35 Christian organizations and denominations.
The CROP Hunger Walk is a CWS program that encourages local religious groups, businesses, and other organizations to be involved in hunger relief efforts in their own community and around the world.
